If living on post, you must also register at your base’s Pass and Registration office immediately after arriving. To obtain Hawaii license plates, present registration, title (if held), Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and additional documents. Since the VIN may need to be verified, trace it onto a piece of paper using a form from any Satellite City Hall or downloaded from the website. To complete vehicle registration, present proof of ownership, shipping documents, safety inspection proof and Non-Resident Certificate form (CS-LMVR-50) signed by your commanding officer.
