Hawaii Military Guide Summer/Fall 2026

Waipahu, Hawaii — Grace Peguero Franco served 22 years in the U.S. Army. But after years of service, she found herself facing a different kind of battle. “I was struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD,” Grace shared. “I couldn’t get out of bed. I shut down from my social life. I didn’t sleep. My brain was always on—there were no quiet moments.” Simple tasks became overwhelming. “I would get ready to leave the house, but I couldn’t even turn the doorknob,” she said. “I felt disconnected, misunderstood… miserable.” Like many in the military community, Grace tried medications—but without lasting relief. “I didn’t want a life dependent on medications,” she said. “I knew there had to be another way.” After a recommendation from her physician, Grace came to Brain Health Hawaii, where advanced brain mapping revealed something she had never seen before. “They showed me my brain—and it finally made sense,” she explained. “It validated everything I was feeling. My brain wasn’t healthy, so I wasn’t healthy. But for the first time, I knew there was a way forward.” With a personalized, non-invasive treatment plan, Grace committed to the process. Today, her life looks completely different. “No more nightmares. I sleep through the night. My depression no longer controls my life. I have my social life back, my energy back, my peace back.” She adds that the transformation has impacted every part of her life. “I’m back to being myself again. I reconnected with my community, returned to church, and even met my husband. We just got married and bought our first home together.” For Grace, the journey has been life-changing. “You don’t have to live that way,” she said. “No matter how dark it feels, there is a way forward.” “It finally made sense… and I found my way back.” A U.S. Army service member shares how Brain Health Hawaii helped her overcome PTSD, anxiety, and depression. “I got my life, my peace, and myself back.” Brain Health Hawaii Non-Pharmaceutical | Non-Invasive We accept TRICARE coverage for active military and their dependents BrainHealthHawaii.com Kahala | Mililani| Kailua
