For three decades, Keiki O Ka ‘Āina has empowered Hawaii’s families through culturally rooted education and multigenerational support. From early childhood programs to mentorship for incarcerated parents, KOKA remains a pillar in the local community. Keiki O Ka ʻĀina (KOKA) Family Learning Centers has been a lifeline for Hawaii’s parents and keiki. Founded on the belief that parents are their children’s first and most important teachers, KOKA has grown from a grassroots initiative into one of the state’s most vital educational organizations. FAMILY-CHILD INTERACTION LEARNING – A MULTIGENERATIONAL APPROACH KOKA’s programs are deeply rooted in Hawaiian values and practices, focusing on whole-family success. By bringing together caregivers and young learners, they simultaneously cultivate classroom routines, social skills, and cultural identity.
