Begin your meander at the Seaside Visitors Bureau, where you can find plenty of parking and travel info. As you head west, explore this section of Broadway’s collection of locally owned boutique shops and eateries. Upper Broadway mixes with the Historic Gilbert District — the oldest surviving part of downtown. Stop in to grab a colorful bubble tea from Tea Artist or something a little hoppier from Seaside Brewery. Take a peek into SunRose Gallery to see the works of the North Coast’s talented artists, grab an afternoon read at Beach Books and pick up something for your fur friends at Beach Puppy. Browse away an afternoon finding treasures at the Antique Mall. If your exploring leaves you hungry, enjoy the freshly made rolls at Tora Sushi Lounge, spaghetti with the signature meatballs at Nonni’s Italian Bistro, or stuffed cabbage rolls and a Moscow mule at Capricorn Pub. For a jolt or a sweet treat, check out the wide variety of espresso drinks and pastries at Seaside Coffee Roasters. Beach Books Play Games and Ride the Carousel Broadway is a hot spot for families seeking amusements old and new. Funland Entertainment Center (201 Broadway) offers pinball, air hockey, Skee-Ball and that original American favorite Fascination, which has been delighting since the Roaring ’20s — it’s one of the only Fascination parlors remaining on the West Coast. You’ll find more arcade games, a laser-tag arena and the delightful antique carousel at the Seaside Carousel Mall (300 Broadway). Just around the block, Seaside Skooters (110 Broadway) is a go-to spot for miniature golf, bumper cars and a Tilt-A-Whirl. Head south of town for go-karts, mini golf and several rides at Captain Kid Amusement Park (2735 S. Roosevelt). On Downing Street near the Oceanway public parking lot, you’ll see a new brick walking path lined with pretty pocket gardens that leads into the heart of downtown. Nearby iconic Dooger’s Seafood & Grill has expanded to include Iggy’s Bar, featuring pet-friendly outdoor seating and creative cocktails. Also downtown, try the chic new River Bar tucked into the lobby of the Rivertide Suites Hotel for Pacific Northwest wines, craft beers and upscale nibbles. Wine bar, cheese shop and deli Chēz pairs cheese and charcuterie offerings with curated wine selections, plus sandwiches and more for lunch. North Seaside is home to three new businesses along Neawanna Creek, with A Mighty Thai & Sushi, The Noodle House and The Pearl Seaside bar launching in the same building.
