Participants can join in activities and obstacle courses at the park following the race. Although the official run is at Ala Moana Regional Park, it can be a bit of a trek for families from the West side, North Shore or Windward areas. To accommodate this, schools can organize their own races on campus, providing a fun opportunity for students to participate with their classmates in their own backyard. Supporting Local Schools Funds raised benefit local elementary school fitness, nutrition, and wellness programs. If a minimum of 10 participants per school register for the Keiki Great Aloha Run at $25 per person, $15 of each registration returns to that keiki’s school. Over the years, the fun run has raised more than $150,000 for local elementary schools.
