I’m a Chinook, a rare breed originally raised to be sled dogs, and with my soft golden coat, striking hazel eyes and one floppy ear, I’m as beautiful as I am unique. I’m a dog of many talents—I can walk off-leash, I can open doors with my paws and nose, and I have mastered the art of what my family calls The Look. If looks could kill, my side-eye would be lethal. Ask me to get off the bed or the couch and you will feel my disapproval. My family—Phil, Colleen, Grace, Ava and Rose— thinks I don’t realize that they have a text thread dedicated to photos of The Look, but nothing gets past me. But don’t let my intimidating demeanor fool you—I’m really a sweetheart. I spend my days looking after Colleen (she’d probably tell you it’s the other way around, but let’s be real here), and can often be found napping on any bed in the house. I also adore hiking at Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve, swimming in my family’s pool and strolling around my neighborhood. Whatever I’m doing, you can always count on me to steal the show.
