WHERE DINOSAURS STILL ROAM CITY OF GRANGER DINOSAUR DRIVE HISEY PARK COMMUNITY FESTIVALS Get a taste of farm traditions at the community’s Cherry Festival each spring. Don’t miss the three-day event with the carnival, tasty fair-style foods, and entertainment. You’ll find justpicked, local produce at the Granger Farmers Market every Thursday, 4 to 7 pm, from June to September. Look forward to other events throughout the year! Menudo Festival in August celebrates the community’s Latino heritage. The Halloween Carnival, with its zombie hunt and trunk-or-teat festivities. Add the July 4 Pickleball Tournament to your calendar and share in the holiday spirit at the Christmas Light Parade. Granger’s signature attraction is a must-see family experience! The town is home to 33 life-size dinosaur sculptures in Hisey Park and around the city. Tour Dinosaur Drive and visit the diverse group of dinosaurs, from a brontosaurus and velociraptors to a parasaurolophus and protoceratops! Come for Dino-n-aDay, the first Saturday of June, to help restore and repaint one of the dinosaurs. At Hisey Park you’ll also find several barbecue and picnic areas, a walking path, amphitheater, boat launch for fishing the Yakima River, and even a stocked public fishing pond! On summer days, cool off at the Splash Park at Main City Park. Set aside time to visit the new Granger Museum which includes displays about the area’s history, the community’s Latino heritage and local families of Japanese ancestry who were incarcerated at Heart Mountain Relocation Center in Wyoming during World War II.
