On top of being easy to work with, the material is highly recyclable and more affordable than most metal options. Our signature lines all feature 6061-T6 Aluminum and have particularly thick walls for increased resilience. We use AAMA 2605 powder coats, which are formulated and certified for architectural applications. CARE: Wipe down as needed. If any color gets scratched off during installation or use, we offer touch-up paint for each powder coat color. We also recommend using the touchup paint to coat any fresh cuts or holes made in the posts, to minimize the possibility of corrosion. STAINLESS STEEL While we have not developed our own stainless steel line, we have partnered with Q-Railing, a global railing manufacturer based in Germany, to offer our customers their most popular stainless steel systems. Stainless steel is naturally denser than aluminum and features a protective outer layer that resists corrosion. As lustrous and beautiful as it is strong, this material has become more and more popular for railing applications, especially in coastal and commercial applications. CARE: Wipe down as needed. Use passivation solution for deep cleaning and to reinforce the passive layer. Use regularly and as needed to protect it from corrosion. Increase frequency in corrosive environments. ANODIZED ALUMINUM This variation of aluminum has its outer layer oxidized via electro- chemical passivation, making it more impervious to the elements and resistant to corrosion. Since the outer layer is treated, rather than painted, the resulting aesthetic is more metallic, allowing the innate beauty of the aluminum to shine through the coating. While we are still working on developing anodized versions of our signature lines, as certified distributors of Q-Railing, we offer a couple of their anodized aluminum systems, including their Base Shoe and Easy Alu lines. CARE: Wipe down as needed. In the case of particularly stubborn stains, mild soaps and/ or abrasive sponges may be used. Make sure to test any cleaning method in a small area before applying it to the entire railing and avoid strong soaps as they may ruin the oxidized finish.
