KIHEI / WAILEA / MAKENĀ South Kihei Road just before Kamaole Beach 1, Charley Young Beach is a large sandy beach with ample sunbathing spots, playful waves and offshore snorkeling. Indulge in a game of beach volleyball with a public net setup and available for play. CHARLEY YOUNG BEACH Ulua Beach was named one of the Top 10 Most Beautiful Beaches in America. It’s a spectacular swimming beach due to its sandy bottom and wonderful weather conditions. Snorkeling is also beautiful here when the conditions are right. In addition, it does have a full shower and restroom facility available. ULUA BEACH Located towards the end of Mākena Alanui Drive. There are 2 entrances with designated parking lots. Mākena Beach, also popularly referred to as “big beach,” is one of Maui’s best known beaches. In the summer months, this beach is known for its dangerous shore break and strong currents. MĀKENA BEACH Near mile marker 9 on Hwy 36. Ho’okipa is a mecca to the windsurfing world, and is also a world class surfing destination. There are professional windsurfing competitions held here, and on just about any day with wind (which are most days) you can watch pros doing absolutely amazing things with sailboards. There is a beach parking overlook to enjoy watching the action or there is also a stretch of beach to pull up a chair or lounge on a blanket. This is not a destination for optimistic windsurfing or kitesurfing novices. HO’OKIPA BEACH PARK Kamaole Beach Parks are located along South Kihei Road. Generally great conditions, bodyboarding waves and snorkeling points at each location! In addition, Kamaole Beach Parks each offer convenient shower and bathroom facilities, easy access parking areas and are all lifeguarded beaches with specific hour. KAMAOLE BEACH PARKS 1, 2, AND 3 NORTH SHORE / PĀ’IA
