HOW TO GET HERE Portland International Airport (PDX) is less than 60 miles from Hood River, connected by the scenic drive along the Columbia Gorge Highway on I-84. The Columbia Gorge Express offers daily public-transit shuttle service between PDX, Cascade Locks and Hood River. The Amtrak train also serves Hood River through the Bingen, Wash., station, located 2 miles from Hood River’s city center.
