Exhibits are interactive, including feature films, period games, dress-up, and crafts such as candle dipping and doll making. Also on site are the state and county welcome center, heritage garden and interpretive trail around Abernathy Green, where many pioneers spent their first winter in Oregon. Located in Woodburn, the festival attracts visitors from near and far to experience the beauty of millions of blooming tulips. Known for their view of Mt. Hood, hot air balloons, and many activities, there is something for all to see in the spring. Tickets are required in advance online only. The tulips bloom from late March until early May. The best overlap of color is in mid-April. Outside of the tulip festival visit the summer flower event late July through mid-August for sunflowers and other summer flowers. 33814 S.
