Located in downtown Portland, the museum is open daily and features immersive exhibitions about Oregon and American history. The museum’s cornerstone exhibition, “Experience Oregon,” explores the state’s unique geography and complicated history through the lens of the people, places, and events that have shaped Oregon. OHS’s newest permanent installation, “Rivers, Roses, and Rip City: The Remarkable History of Portland,” shares the history of Oregon’s largest city through compelling objects and interactive experiences.
