South of downtown Bandon, see consumer waste turned to sculpture at Art Park 101. PERFORMING ARTS In downtown Coos Bay, the historic Egyptian Theatre is a remarkably restored 1925 building in the Egyptian-revival style, hosting family-friendly films and live music among towering bronze pharaoh statues and hieroglyphics. North Bend’s Liberty Theatre — also home to Little Theatre on the Bay — is famous for its “Little Ole Opry” performances. Originally a silent-movie palace, the beloved century-old theater now hosts live plays and musicals in a charmingly renovated space.
