The crisp lines and added dimension provided by some well-placed board and batten can lend any space a tailored, dressed-up feel the moment you step in. “This room consistently receives the ‘gasp’ reaction from visitors,” says Jana Romney, co-founder and principal designer of Opal Design Group, who designed this TV room as part of a whole-house remodel in West Linn. Benjamin Moore’s “Hot Chocolate” cocoons the cozy retreat in warmth. “Our primary design philosophy is that finish work makes a space feel finished even before the furniture arrives,” Romney says. “The vertical board and batten paneling acts as a beautiful backdrop that creates a feeling of completion.” WHAT’S TRENDING: Decorative Wall Paneling
