Hawaii Military Guide Winter/Spring 2026

Youth Education 82 GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE. LOCALLY COMMITTED. Continuing to work with the State of Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) Disease Outbreak Control Division, the Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) has emerged from its COVID-19 emphasis while remaining diligent in keeping the local community updated on conditions. Created during the Global Pandemic to share COVID updates with parents and keiki, HIDOE’s Hoʻohaʻaheo Newsletter has shifted gears to bolster and sustain pride in public education and to share the successes happening across the system. To subscribe to this weekly publication that serves as the voice of HIDOE news, scroll to the bottom of the home page at HawaiiPublicSchools.org and click the Sign Me Up button. Then go to the Useful Links section below and click on the Ho’oha’aheo Newsletter link to view the current and most recent issues. STRIVE HI PROGRESS Hawaii’s public schools are not only recovering from the Global Pandemic, but are also displaying steady progress in improved performances. As Hawaii's school accountability and improvement system, Strive HI is designed to meet the needs of students, educators and schools. It aligns and connects key state education policies and initiatives to position students and educators for success and uses data to measure progress and target resources. According to the recent HIDOE 2024-25 Strive HI Performance System report, students are gaining ground in science, math and language arts, while attendance and college enrollment are also on an upswing.
