MHS GENESIS The TRICARE Online AHLTA Patient Portal was decommissioned in 2025 and replaced by MHS GENESIS, the Department of Defense’s modern electronic health record system. Managed by the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization Program, MHS GENESIS integrates inpatient and outpatient care, linking medical and dental records seamlessly across the full continuum of care. At Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, MHS GENESIS has fully replaced TRICARE Online, providing patients with 24/7 access to their electronic health records. Through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal, you can easily manage your health care by booking and canceling appointments, requesting prescription refills and renewals, reviewing clinical notes and select test results, and securely messaging your military health care team. Patients can receive care anywhere, confident that their health records will follow them, ensuring continuity and convenience. If you previously had a TRICARE Online account, your information was automatically migrated to MHS GENESIS, so no action was needed to continue using the new system. DENTAL COVERAGE Dental coverage is separate from TRICARE’s medical benefits and is offered through three different dental plans, each tailored to specific military statuses: • Active Duty Service Members: Covered by Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) • Active Duty Family Members: Can purchase the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) • Retired Service Members & Families: May be eligible for FEDVIP Dental ADDP and TDP Both are administered by United Concordia (uccitdp.com), while FEDVIP is administered by Benefeds.com.
