TriWest Healthcare Alliance replaced Health Net Federal Services as the new regional contractor for TRICARE West Region, while Humana Military continues as the regional contractor for the East Region. These TRICARE contract changes only affect those living in the United States. While COVID-19 and Telehealth protocols grabbed the headlines during the past five years, 2025 and 2026 have been packed with major announcements on a more proactive, positive front resulting from updated regional T-5 Contracts, staterealignments and other improvements. On Jan. 1, 2025, TRICARE began delivering health care under its new regional T-5 contracts. T-5 provides health care services and administrative support for TRICARE beneficiaries.
