FOREVER GI BILL Signed into law in August 2017, the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act (also known as the Forever GI Bill) brings significant changes to Veterans’ education benefits. Consolidation of benefit levels and Yellow Ribbon extension to Active Duty service members rolled out in August 2020 and 2022, respectively. BENEFITS UPDATE The Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) helps you pay for school or cover expenses while you’re training for a job. To view the current Post-9/11 GI Bill rates for Aug. 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026, visit va.gov/education. Learn about the criteria used to determine how much of the full benefit rate you will receive. You may be eligible for additional months of education benefits if you qualify under more than one program.
