Pop a Piñata Do you have a party coming up? Bring the children together to create a piñata that can be filled with candy and hung in a high location. Gather glue, water, newspaper, and balloons. Tear the newspaper into long strips about three inches wide. Mix the glue and water to create a watery paste. Blow up the balloons. Dip the newspaper in the paste, removing the excess between your fingers, and then place the newspaper on the balloon. Cover the balloon completely with about three layers of newspaper. Let it dry for a day. Hang up the piñata, and then see who can break the candy-filled piñata with a bat while blindfolded. Challenge: Can you create an animal by strategically placing the balloons?
