Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus, Oahu’s longest-running children’s choir, offers a full spectrum of music education for K-12 students from any school. HYOC’s mission is to build a foundation of excellence in choral performance, to guide Hawaii’s youth to establish a lifelong appreciation of the performing arts, and to provide leadership in music education. HYOC continues to grow tomorrow’s leaders through music by providing the perfect venue for students to 54 Hawaii Parent SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2026 meet, develop friendships and important life skills, gain performance experience, and learn from experts in music education. HYOC has two semesters per year: Fall (August-December) and Spring (January-late May).
