Vintage Designs Lead to New Expansions Also debuting something new at the festival is a threegeneration apparel legacy now reimagined for the entire ohana. Rooted in Hawaii and woven with history dating back to 1953, Alikaleo Park is redefining what everyday activewear looks like for modern island families. What began as a children’s brand has evolved into a full ohana lifestyle label blending function, culture, and heritage into bold, wearable pieces designed for real play. For the first time, the company will launch an adult apparel collection alongside the children’s line it has become known for. Designed with island living in mind, the activewear incorporates sun protection while embracing colorful, Hawaii-inspired design. The new adult collection will officially debut at the festival this August. “Coming from Iolani Sportswear, our background was always rooted in adult aloha wear, so focusing only on keiki styles with Alikaleo Park was a big shift for us, but it also aligned with the life we were living as parents with two young kids. After two years in business, we kept getting requests from parents wanting matching pieces, and honestly, Alex and I both knew we wanted it too. That really inspired our expansion into apparel for the whole family this year. We’re taking vintage Hawaiian artwork from our family archives and creating functional, sun-protective pieces made for modern island life and active families. Our hope this year is to continue building Alikaleo Park into a lifestyle brand that truly grows with families and the way they live today,” said Sarah Kawakami, founder of Alikaleo Park.
