New programs include Tiny Steps Together, designed for dancers ages 2–3, introducing movement through a playful, early childhood experience that builds confidence, coordination, and joy. The School is also expanding its offerings with dedicated young boys ballet classes, as well as teen ballet and teen dance programs, creating more inclusive and accessible entry points for students discovering dance at different stages. For adults, Ballet Hawaii continues to build on the momentum of its thriving open class program, adding new class times and offerings this summer. Beyond weekly classes, Ballet Hawaii will also host its summer dance camps throughout July at its Waipahu studios, offering beginner-friendly experiences for young dancers ages 4–8 with no prior training required. A COMPANY IN MOTION Ballet Hawaii is not only performing, but it’s evolving. From museum collaborations to symphonic partnerships, from inclusive programming to community outreach, and now through expanded educational offerings, the organization is redefining its role in Honolulu’s creative ecosystem. Throughout Ballet Hawaii’s evolution, they have and will remain deeply committed to sharing the transformative power of dance with the communities it calls home. 78 Hawaii Parent July/August 2026
