The program is built around the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum framework, which balances structured activities with open-ended exploration. The youngest learners, known as the Adventurous Ones (ages 12 to 24 months), along with the Terrific Twos, benefit from a curriculum designed specifically for infants and toddlers. As children grow into the Talented Threes, Fantastic Fours, and Fabulous Fives, they transition into the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, 6th Edition, which prepares them for the challenges of kindergarten and beyond. The program is led by Director LoriLei Tagami, whose leadership ensures consistency, care, and dedication to excellence. Preschool office hours run from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, while the regular school day extends from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Flexible hours are offered until 2:00 pm or through the full day, and in light of health and safety guidelines, parents and visitors remain outside the school gate. WESLEY CHILDREN’S PROGRAM Ages 12 Months to 5 Years The Wesley Children’s Program, founded in 1988 in the Kahala area and sponsored by Wesley United Methodist Church, has been a trusted presence in the community for more than three decades. Established as an outreach to local families, the school has grown into a respected program licensed by the State of Hawai‘i under the Department of Human Services to serve up to 55 children. Wesley has always been committed to creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing place where children can grow, explore, and flourish.
