Hawaii is updating its ESSA plan to align with its new Strategic Plan and to adjust and modify aspects of the ESSA plan to better meet the needs of the students and the schools. As education experts, liaisons assist in understanding your new installation and educational offerings it provides and supports both inside and outside the gates. When enrolling your child in the Hawaii public school system, never worry about whether they’ll be challenged. Hawaii has adopted Common Core Standards along with most states, the District of Columbia, four territories and the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). HKS currently serves students in preschool (age 3-4), prekindergarten (age 4-5), and kindergarten through sixth grade.
