CHECKING IN If you arrive at the airport without a sponsor meeting you, check-in at the USO Office located on the ground level between Baggage Claim E & F. The USO can assist you in calling MCBH to send someone to pick you up. All SNCOs, officers and Marines with families should report to the Staff Duty in Bldg. 216. If not, go to the USO Honolulu Center at the airport located between Baggage Claims 19 and 20. TEMPORARY LODGING The official lodging facilities for PCS/TAD/TDY at Kaneohe Bay include the Inns of the Corps (808-254-2806) and Five Palms (808-257-2409); both will issue a CNA if there is no availability. RECREATIONAL LODGING Mokapu Recreational Lodging (808-254-5696) offers a variety of lodging options for leisure stays at the Beach Cottages, Cabanas at Kaneohe Bay, Fairway Inn, and Klipper Villas. For PCS, TAD, and TDY, a certificate of nonavailability (CAN) is required. Guest services is located at Fairway Inn. HOUSING Housing Department (808-257-2676) After Hours (808-257-1257) Lawrence Rd., Bldg. 1571. Be sure to put your name on a list for base housing within 72 hours of checking in with command. If no base quarters are available, they will assist you in finding suitable housing. Also inquire as to the availability within the Ohana Military Communities. It offers first-class property management on MCBH Nestled on scenic Mokapu Peninsula on the windward side of Oahu, MCBH Kaneohe Bay is home of III Marine Expeditionary Forces Hawaii and the Marine Forces Pacific Band. To reach it, take the H-3 freeway toward Kaneohe until you reach the main gate. The base is home to more than 8,000 Marines and sailors who are privy to some of the best year-round board surfing, body surfing and boogie boarding on Oahu. The two most popular beaches, Pyramid Rock and North Beach, are manned by lifeguards seven days a week. The Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course is one of the finest on the island.
