SACRED HEARTS ACADEMY Sacred Hearts Academy, a Catholic, private school for students in Preschool to grade 12, has been providing an outstanding college-preparatory education for Hawai’i’s girls for over 110 years. The offerings of the Academy’s educational experience begin in the school’s Early Learning Center (ELC) with a fullday academic program for those ages three to five in Preschool and Kindergarten. The ELC aims to develop the whole child, addressing all levels of development and Youth Education 106 encompassing social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cognitive areas. Since young children learn by doing, the Academy’s ELC students are engaged in a variety of well-planned activities geared to their specific, individual developmental level. While doing so, they are able to explore, work cooperatively, think critically and brainstorm and problem-solve. The Academy’s commitment to outstanding education continues in the Lower School where the focus is on planting a firm foundation for later learning.
