Max’s passion for oil, gas and mineral production stems from his longing to help educate the younger generation about the benefits that these can have on the State of Alaska. While he is new to Alaska, it is clear to him that the development of these natural resources are not only crucial to Alaska’s growth, but also to raise awareness for our Alaska community. Here is more about Max, in his own words: I’m from Christchurch, New Zealand, and moved to the States when I was 19 to pursue a Strategic Communications in Media Degree while playing for the collegiate soccer team at Colorado Christian University. While at the college, I entered multiple roles in social media management, podcast production and graphic design. At the university is where I met my now wife, Kinley! Following this, I spent six months at Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Ind., where I worked in special events for the college while playing once again for the men’s soccer team. After concluding my time in Indiana, I moved up to Eagle Riverand my wife and I got married and had our wedding. During this time, I worked as a volunteer for Chugiak Soccer Club as their marketing and communications manager as I remained firmly in the sports world. Fast forward to now, and I’m extremely blessed to be in my new position as External Affairs Coordinator for The Alliance, working for an organization that is extremely passionate about helping Alaskans experience durable benefits through economic and community growth.
