On build days, volunteers may assist with tasks such as framing, painting, siding, site preparation, landscaping, and material handling, all of which help lower construction costs and move families closer to stable homeownership. In addition to construction, volunteers can support Habitat’s work year-round by serving in the La Pine ReStore — Habitat’s retail outlet where donated furniture, appliances, and home goods are sold to raise critical funding for home building and repair. ReStore volunteers help greet customers, organize and stock inventory, price and display donated items, assist with donations, and provide friendly service, helping turn community support into safe, affordable housing. Group and team volunteer opportunities are also available, making it easy for friends, coworkers, schools, and faith groups to contribute together — building not just homes, but meaningful community connections.
