Growing up there rooted me deeply in the community, and that connection is exactly why I feel such a strong sense of dedication to the sellers I work with in the Westlake neighborhood today. There’s a timeless charm to the area, with streets and homes that carry an old-school, almost storybook feel like something out of a simpler, more connected era. My elementary school, my alma mater, remains one of the neighborhood’s cornerstones, known for its outstanding students and the kind of parent involvement that truly builds community. Just beyond it, Westlake Park and its peaceful pond offer a space where families gather, kids play freely, and even fishing becomes a small but meaningful adventure. It’s one of those places that quietly holds countless memories. Nearby, Pogonip Open Space adds another layer of beauty and escape, with its winding trails, shaded paths, and hidden gems like the labyrinth. And with UCSC just up the hill, there’s an energy of learning and growth that’s always present. Being there still feels like coming home. I feel incredibly fortunate not only to have grown up in such a special place, but also to continue serving and representing the homeowners who make that community what it is.
