The cows are currently penned in by electric fencing that requires moving every other day—but soon the cows will be wearing solar-powered cattle collars that work off satellites to track and guide the herd like an invisible fence. “I like to mix the old way with the new way, because I think in a lot of cases, the old way is better in some things,” says Chris. “And I think the new way, in some cases, is better. already applying regenerative practices at the neighboring TomKat Ranch. “When you really start to look at it, it makes so much sense,” he says. “We're like, ‘Why are we not doing this anyway?
